Description
Embera Village
Only an hour and a half away you can visit this indigenous community along the banks of the Chagres River and learn about their customs, beliefs, crafts and dances. Arriving at Puerto Corotú we will take a canoe to a trail where we will walk to a waterfall. Then we will return to the village where their leader and inhabitants will give us a warm welcome with traditional music. They will give us a talk about their culture, customs and handicrafts and then we will have a delicious lunch of tilapia with fried plantains (or yucca) and fruits. Then you will be able to tour the village to appreciate their huts built with natural materials and choose to buy their handicrafts. And to finish off you will be able to enjoy their traditional dance.
