Gorgona Beach
Nueva Gorgona, commonly known as Gorgona, is a small town of approximately 2,000 inhabitants, located only 3 km from Coronado, a better known beach town and considered the center where most of the infrastructure, stores and services of the Pacific Beach area, west of Panama City, are concentrated.
The coastal environment of Gorgona and the surrounding coastal towns is a mix of white and volcanic sand, and the various stretches of beach extend for miles. During the week, you can enjoy large stretches of beach all to yourself. Gorgona’s 4.2 kilometers of beach also have surfing areas.
If you want to spend the day at the beach, there is a perfect spot to go to that includes a beachfront or poolside hut. At this facility you can enjoy two swimming pools, a children’s pool, playground, comfortable reclining chairs for sunbathing, ping pong tables, volleyball courts and soccer field. If you plan to visit this beachfront site during the week (Monday through Friday), you will need to bring your drinks and lunch. The restaurant is only open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays for breakfast and lunch. Don’t forget to bring your towels.
Departure from Panama City: 8:00 am
Includes: Round trip from/to your hotel, with bilingual guide. Entrance fees to the cabins and lunch are not included.
Bring: Camera (in ziplock bag), cap/hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, casual or sportswear, waterproof sandals or Crocs or sneakers, bathing suit and dry clothes and passport.
