Panama Canal – Miraflores
We begin with a visit to the Panama Canal, a remarkable engineering marvel that continues to use state-of-the-art technology. As one of the world’s most important and visited canals, it offers a fascinating look into global maritime history. You’ll explore the Miraflores Visitors Center, including the 3D IMAX theater, which features an immersive film on the Canal’s history in English with Spanish subtitles. Afterward, we’ll stop at the Handicrafts Center to experience local artisan culture.
Old Town
Then we head to the Old Town, a UNESCO-declared Historic Monument. Here, you’ll find iconic landmarks such as the Presidential Palace, Las Bovedas, National Theater, Interoceanic Canal Museum, Flat Arch (Arco Chato) Convent, San José Church with its “Golden Altar,” San Felipe de Neri Church, the Cathedral, and five historic squares, among others. The area also features a variety of outdoor restaurants and is often filled with live music and performances, creating a lively and unforgettable atmosphere.
Amador Causeway
Then we head to the Amador Causeway, also known as Calzada de Amador. We’ll pass by the Biomuseo, where you can admire its unique and vibrant architecture. As we continue, we’ll pass by three islands before reaching the last one, Flamenco, where you can visit the Amphora Duty Free zone and enjoy a delicious meal at one of the area’s restaurants.
Departure from Panama City: 7:30 am; 10:00 am; & 11:00 am.
