Chicá
It is a rural community where the first national park created in Panama is located, from here you can see extraordinary views of the Bay of Chame, and trails with its impressive mangroves that cover the mouth of the Chame River. Its past volcanic activity is clearly reflected in their paths. This protected area stands out for its volcanic mountains that form magnificent natural viewpoints, with extraordinary cliffs surrounded by grasslands or dense forests with its rich flora and fauna. If you like nature with cool climate, this is your place to visit.
Los Cajones de Chame
In this place nature is in every corner of its surroundings. At just an hour from the city you will find a canyon created by the passage of the River Chame between rocks and slabs. You will also find caves, waterfalls and different places for swimming, camping and family fun. It offers you an impressive landscape, along with the singing of birds and to enjoy its cold waters. It is definitely an encounter with nature.
